A big congratulations to Margie who successfully got her Drivers Licence today. Margie was able to access our Keys to Drive program funded by Street Smart to complete driving lessons and go for her licence. Margie got her licence on her first attempt!
Young people experiencing homelessness have many barriers to getting a licence as they don’t have a vehicle to learn in or anyone to teach them so this program allows young people to achieve this rite of passage into independence.
Margie now plans to save for a car to make transport much easier for her and her daughter as she looks at her study options for the future.
